Becky Bailey

Becky joined the Lighthouse Child Advocacy Center team in December 2019 as the Outreach Advocate.  Becky’s position focuses on outreach, school-based prevention, advocacy, and forensic interviewing. She earned her Bachelor of Science from Marshall University in 2010 and completed her Master’s in Advanced Investigation from the University of New Haven (CT) in 2012. Becky is passionate about trauma-informed, victim-centered approaches, inspired by a graduate school professor who emphasized these principles through readings like Lucky. This experience deepened her commitment to ensuring that investigations prioritize the well-being of victims—a model the Lighthouse CAC proudly upholds.

Becky’s favorite part of her role is prevention work, particularly in schools. She strongly believes in empowering youth with knowledge about body safety and personal boundaries, equipping them to respond confidently if faced with unsafe situations. She values high school prevention programs that encourage open conversations on consent and complex real-life scenarios, helping students navigate difficult situations with understanding.

Outside of work, Becky enjoys hosting guests on Airbnb and spending time with her family. She lives in Tyler County with her husband and child.
